I Heart Penguins

The next time I feel the urge to complain about sweltering heat, high gas prices, or that I can’t find anything to wear, I need to remember the lives of the Emperor penguins, the subjects of the documentary March of the Penguins--which I totally recommend. It is fascinating what these funny and adorable creatures go through to produce and sustain life. I laughed, cried, and am now obsessed with penguins. I also decided that I want Morgan Freeman to narrate my life. Whether it is Shawshank Redemption, Million Dollar Baby, or penguins, his voiceover adds extra dimension and sentiment, making whatever he describes seem more beautiful and dramatically important. In the documentary of my life, think about how admirable and accomplished I would seem as he described the way I made my morning coffee at the same time each day. But, I digress. While I was serching for penguin wallpapers for my computer after the movie (I know, I am a nerd!) I came across this clip and I have to share it. Please look at their feet! I can't take it.

Well, I have an update on Monte's mysterious pains radiating from his abdomen--which we
had been putting off for vacation, work, and then Indianapolis. I feel so guilty! Yesterday he finally went to the doctor and she ruled out appendicitis and said it feels muscular--but not exactly like a hernia. Hmmm. So, he has a CT scan next week and we will hopefully get more answers. Until then....please pray that he never feels pain like this face again. ;)
