Looking Forward

First of all, this has nothing to do with my post, but I just have to say that “Snakes On A Plane,” is by far the best title for a movie in the history of film. People, say it. SNAKES. ON. A. FREAKING. PLANE. The movie stars Samuel L. Jackson and will be coming out this August, and I cannot wait for all of the trailers on the radio and TV repeating this title! This will never NOT be funny to me. I just wonder how Mr. (Pulp Fiction) Jackson could have looked at the script and said, “Yes, sign me up. Snakes On A Plane sounds like a masterpiece!” For real, ya'll!

Anyway...

Normally after a fab holiday or trip visiting family and friends, I get a little sad when we return. I usually have a day or two afterwards when I mope around a bit and wish we lived closer. This time, however, I prevented my whole bout of melancholia by coming home from St. Louis and immediately purchasing plane tickets to Richmond for Memorial Day weekend. This way, I have a set date to anticipate, and there's no uncertainty of when I’ll see my Midwest peeps again. I'm also really looking forward to our upcoming plans here in the Sunshine State- from house projects, weekend trips, the beach, concerts, and lots of visitors! This weekend we are going to see the re-scheduled Coldplay and Fiona Apple concert (remember the cancelled concert that nearly sent me spiraling into depression?) so I am obviously pumped. I have been planning my encounter with Chris since September, and I'm fully prepared to for his dash into the crowd.* Last time I wasn't ready for it, and I ended up going berserk and missing him altogether. Based on that concert and performances I've seen on award shows, I am certain he will be running directly to my area. I will be ready. He tends to always run down stage-left and into the middle of the pavilion. See his path and my seat in Figure 1**:

Figure 1:
I'm positive he will be right next to me. This time, however, I will keep my dignity and abstain from chasing after him like a wild beast. I plan to stay in my seat and simply snap a quick photo. This is my plan, and we’ll see if I can remain calm and try not to get tackled by security. Seriously, no one needs to witness these googly-eyes again! Have a great weekend!!

Snakes On A Plane! (Sorry, I just had to say it again.)

** I told you!

3 Shout outs:

  • I'm not sure I'll recognize you without the bug-eyes. You better look a little hysterical so I know it's you.

  • I actually saw Samuel Jackson on Conan or something and he talked about "Snakes on a Plane". Funny you should mention it because he didnt even read the script, he said he loved the title so much he signed up for it right when he heard it.
