Spring Has Sprung
...and so has my baby bump! I have finally accepted the fact that my jeans and pants are too snug, and am retiring them into my closet until sometime in 2009 when they will be my motivation to get to the gym. I am going to try to make it through this summer without buying any maternity pants at all and stick to dresses and skirts. All I can think about is the sweltering, sticky heat that I am going to be dealing with while I continue to expand and swell all summer, and pants just don't fit well into that equation. I'm actually lucky to be pregnant at a time when flowing dresses and billowy tops are not just for maternity wear anymore--they are everywhere. So, I think I can pretty much put together my maternity wardrobe without stepping into a "Mimi Maternity" store. Thank goodness, because being surrounded by the freakishly-high waistbands would probably make me break into a nervous sweat.
This weekend I wore my bikini for the last time until next year, and I picked up a couple of very cute tank-inis to substitute. I will probably grow out of them in a month at the rate I am going, but they were on sale at Target, so I just couldn't pass them up. In addition to shopping, we had a very productive and fun-filled weekend. We worked in the yard, got the nursery furniture put together (I'll post a few pictures), did some spring cleaning, hung out with friends, and even squeezed in a dinner and a movie date night. It was a perfect weekend, and I am ready for this week to fly by so we can get to Friday. We have our big ultrasound to see our little sweet pea one more time and also get the big news if we are having a girl or a boy! I am counting down the minutes!

I'm sure you have the pregnancy glow and I can't wait to see your expanding baby belly in June. I thought about you and Lindsay recently while I was in the Gap. They some really cute skirts with an elastic waistband and I thought they might be comfortable for you.
I can't wait to see pictures of the new nursery! :)
